limemovie is dead

It's official: limemovie.com no longer belongs to us. We let it go and now somebody else is using the domain to try to sell... something.

But I couldn't let it die completely. So for purposes of posterity and nostalgia, the website about a movie that thought it could is going to reside on anaesthetic

Maybe it's admitting defeat but after 2 months of planning, 2 weeks of shooting and 2 years of messing around trying to edit the thing, we really only ended up with something that looked like a home movie - something to bring out in 10 years to remind ourselves of how naive we really could be. 60 minutes of bush-league wandering that only a couple people, apart from Steve, Graham and myself, saw. Though watching lime through the eyes of those other people was enough to convince us to bury it in the vaults and move on with our lives.

But on this 4th(ish) anniversary of the project I'm posting the final credits that ended the movie. It's the only part that's watchable but it captures the spirit of what we were trying to do.

goodbye lime

oodles to ogle

We're still alive and well, and haven't abandoned the project yet. We're almost all back together and able to start working on things again... right as soon as easter is over and done with. Jesus isn't the only one needing a resurrection at this time of year - we look forward to diving back into Lime with renewed springtime energy.

Plus we've begun to share the footage we've taken and soon we'll have oodles - yes, oodles - of new images (and hopefully videos) for everyone to ogle. Oodles to ogle indeed.

a way overdue update

Awhile back we received a blessing from the ether in the form of music treats. The name of the band is Bontempi, and they've graciously allowed us to use their single, "Diabolica", in our trailer. We're really really really pleased with this stuff, so to Geoff, Carla and Lynette we say *thank you*.

We've started out on the road as of last weekend to do our filming, and right before we left we spent a day making a new trailer to complement Bontempi's song. Check it out in the trailers section.

We'll be adding a lot more in the next few weeks as we assemble and then sift through our mounting piles of footage, so keep checking in from time to time.

Ivan Ilic sent in some spectacular pictures of planes and the airport. An angelic Kate can also be found in the random images.

The gallery is coming soon. It will make it easy to see the picture you want to see...

bye-bye-barbados

I'm back. Just missed the Superbowl... but I have 6.6 GB in video and images taken with a sadly buggered-up Canon SD300 and nearly 3 hours of miniDV video footage shot with Graham's fancy Canon GL2 camera.

Now all we have to do is figure out what to make from it all. Anyone got a finished script to spare??
